The Türkiye Green Taxonomy Regulation was published in the Official Gazette on 24 September 2026 and took effect. Technical screening criteria cover 16 sectors and 137 economic activities.
For an activity to be considered green, it must make a significant contribution to at least one of six environmental objectives, do no significant harm to the others, and meet minimum social safeguards. The regulation was prepared by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change; the Climate Change Presidency will be the implementing authority.
