Hatay 3rd Heavy Penal Court rejected the plaintiffs' lawyers' request that the defendants be tried on possible intent in the Rönesans Rezidans trial. The 6th expert report was examined at the hearing.
In the trial concerning the Rönesans Rezidans, which collapsed in the earthquake of February 6, 2023 and killed 269 people, the detained defendants, contractor Mehmet Yaşar Coşkun and building inspection company officials Mehmet Haşim Eraslan and Bülent Seküçoğlu, attended via SEGBİS. Coşkun said he would accept life imprisonment if a test in the report went against him.
