Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) Board Chair Ozan Diren reported that cost-based competitiveness fell 2.9% in the second quarter of 2026 from a year earlier. Diren said all sectors had faced serious losses over the last five years.
Diren spoke at the TÜRKONFED 27th Business World Summit in Elazığ. According to TÜSİAD's index, the competitiveness indicator fell 1.3% to 86.1 in the second quarter.
