The Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation (Yargıtay) requested confirmation of the 15-year prison sentences with mitigation for good conduct given to three defendants in the Tutar Yapı Sitesi case, in which 63 people died in Adana in the 6 February earthquakes.
The office also noted a spelling error in one defendant's name. The Court of Cassation's 12th Criminal Chamber will give the ruling. Lawyer for the complainants Gülsüm Özdoğru asked for their "probable intent" claims to be considered.
