TEPAV calculated monthly food inflation at 2.23% for September 1-25, and annual food inflation at 30.1%. According to the bulletin, prices rose for eggplant, bananas and tomatoes.
TEPAV's Food Price Index bulletin said compiled data showed monthly food inflation rising again. Lemons, oranges and tangerines fell most among fresh fruit and vegetables, while margarine, beef and ready-made chicken meals rose. In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC), monthly food inflation was 3.64% and annual inflation was 36.2%.
