Azerbaijan's Civil Aviation Agency said it suspended flights by Iranian companies due to US sanctions on Iran's aviation sector. Iranian media reported that all flights between Iran and the UAE had been cancelled.

Banking regulator BDDK revokes Bank Mellat's Istanbul branch operating license

Under a decision dated September 18, the banking regulator BDDK revoked the operating license of the Istanbul Türkiye Central Branch of Iran-based Bank Mellat, under paragraph (b) of the first clause of Article 71 of the Banking Law. The decision was published in the Official Gazette.

According to Axios sources, US President Donald Trump will discuss post-war strategy on Iran with representatives of Gulf Cooperation Council countries at the UN General Assembly starting 22 September. Reuters reported that the war has spread to Yemen and Saudi Arabia and that risks to oil supply have increased.
