Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced that since the beginning of the year, 714 fugitive criminals from 44 countries have been brought to Türkiye through 'Cross-Border Trap' operations. Of those caught, 170 are organized crime leaders and members.
In his statement, Çiftçi noted that those sought included 332 for public order offenses, 271 for smuggling and organized crime, 99 for narcotics and 12 for terrorism, and that the pursuit would continue in coordination with the Interior Ministry and the Justice and Foreign Ministries.
