The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) forecast that Türkiye's economy will grow by 3 percent this year and 4 percent in 2027. The bank revised its forecast downward from the 3.5 percent level in June.
In the EBRD's Regional Economic Outlook report, it was stated that the revision was driven by weakening domestic demand amid high inflation and tight financial conditions, as well as the ongoing impact of the war in the Middle East. The bank estimated average growth of 2.5 percent this year in the countries where it operates.
