Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that 222,000 young people had married through the Family and Youth Fund. The programme was held at the Hakimevi in Gölbaşı, Ankara.
Göktaş said the fund had been established in 2024, first launched in five provinces in the earthquake zone, then extended to the three provinces with the lowest fertility rates and expanded nationwide with the 2025 Year of the Family. She said they aimed to reduce difficulties young people might face during marriage.
