Türkiye and Syria reached an agreement to reopen the Nusaybin-Qamishli border gate, which had been closed for 14 years. The gate is expected to open by the end of the year.
Under the agreement reached between the two countries' foreign ministries and Syria's Border Gates and Customs Administration Presidency, the gate will be opened to commercial crossings. The SDG's withdrawal from the region was said to have influenced the decision. Once opened, it will be the 7th border gate between Türkiye and Syria.
