Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said the school attacker in Turgutlu changed his plan when he saw the staff member at the school. He announced that 2,419 children who shared school attack posts were detained and 243 of them were arrested.
Speaking in Ümraniye as part of the 'Türkiye Century Meetings', Çiftçi said the detentions and arrests involved children who announced online this year after the Kahramanmaraş attack that they would carry out an act. He also said crimes against persons fell by 4.5% and crimes against property fell by 10%.
