The Syrian administration started work to reopen the Qamishli-Nusaybin Border Crossing, which closed in 2012. The crossing is planned to become the seventh border crossing point between Türkiye and Syria.
Mazin Alloush, Director of International Relations and Cooperation at the Syrian General Authority for Border Crossings and Customs, announced that excavation, levelling and technical preparation work had begun at the crossing. In the first phase, cargo yards and transit areas will be arranged, followed by an administration building, passenger halls and lodgings.
