Ground beneath three-storey building collapses after landslide in Rize

Following heavy rainfall in the Eastern Black Sea region, a landslide in the Pazar district of Rize caused the ground beneath a house to give way; Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) teams examined the site, and no evacuation decision has been made so far.

Minister Tekin: Mid-term breaks could be scrapped in years when the calendar doesn't fit

Education Minister Yusuf Tekin said on a television broadcast that they try to align mid-term breaks with the Ramadan and Sacrifice holidays, and that in years when the calendar does not align, mid-term breaks could be scrapped.
