The 18th edition of the award was presented at a ceremony on September 15 at the Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage in Istanbul. The foundation honoured Süheyla Doğan, who defends the Kaz Mountains in Türkiye, and Raji Sourani from Palestine, who documents human rights violations in Gaza.
At the ceremony, the award was received by Doğan, who does not give up defending natural and cultural assets and fights for women's human rights, and Sourani, who continues her work in Gaza. The foundation cited the rule of law and the dignity of those affected by war as the reason for the award.
