Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy opened Kahramanmaraş Castle, damaged in the February 6, 2023 earthquakes, to visitors and reopened five mosques for worship. Ersoy said more than 12.265 billion lira had been spent on restoration across the 11 earthquake-affected provinces.
Meetings were held with governors, mayors and deputies regarding cultural assets and foundation works in the earthquake zone. Minister Ersoy stated that historical artifacts have been restored while preserving their original architecture.
