The number of detentions in the illegal forex investigation in Istanbul rose to 213; the prosecutor’s office requested arrest for 133 people and judicial control for 56, while 24 people were released.
The operation was led by the Interior Ministry and intelligence agency MİT, with contributions from Interpol. Forty call centers and financial offices tied to 25 companies were targeted in the investigation. The processing of all suspects at the Çağlayan Courthouse has been completed.
