DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan said they expect steps to be taken in the coming days, including developments that would allow Abdullah Öcalan to address the public directly.
Doğan stated that they expect steps to be taken on many fronts, up to the possibilities of direct contact for Öcalan, in the process of disarmament and transition to democratic politics. With the entry into force of Law No. 7595 prepared within the scope of the peace process, the Monitoring and Evaluation Board held its first meeting on August 24.
