On the 25th day of the İmamoğlu trial, unarrested defendant Remzi Baka said he paid a total of 380 million lira (TL) on different dates to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Legal Counsel İbrahim Bülbüllü.
Defending himself at the hearing held by Istanbul 33rd High Criminal Court at Marmara Penal Institution, Baka said Bülbüllü told him in 2021 that money was needed for large projects and that 10 percent of tenders had to be given. He submitted documents listing the payment dates to the court.
