Cevdet Yılmaz is a bureaucrat and politician who has served as the 2nd Vice President of Türkiye since 2023. He previously served as an AKP member of parliament for Bingöl. He was appointed to his current position by President Erdoğan on 3 June 2023, following the 2023 presidential election.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in New York at 22:50 Turkish time to attend the UN General Assembly and will address the General Assembly for the 16th time on 22 September. The delegation includes Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek.

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) President Tufan Erhürman received Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, who is on the island for official meetings, at the Presidency in Nicosia; Türkiye's Ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Başçeri also attended. Güzelyurt Cold Storage Facility built with Türkiye's financing opens in TRNC

The 15,000-ton capacity Güzelyurt Cold Storage Facility, established with financing from Türkiye and contributions from TOBB, was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC). KKTC Agriculture Minister Hüseyin Çavuş stated the facility is an investment aimed at the entire production sector.

New Atatürk Stadium and sports complex project unveiled in Nicosia

At the presentation in the Republic Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC), Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz described the project as a "hallmark project"; the complex will be built across an area of approximately 56,000 square meters with an 8,000-person capacity. Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak said a multifunctional stadium will be constructed in the city center.

15 Turkish Cypriots found in mass grave in Atlılar buried 52 years later

Fifteen identified Turkish Cypriots killed and placed in a mass grave in the village of Atlılar on August 14, 1974, were buried in a state ceremony, including two infants aged 40 days and 16 months. Cevdet Yılmaz, Tufan Erhürman and Ünal Üstel attended the ceremony.
