A human skull and bone fragments have been found during excavation at the site of an old school building under demolition in Çorum's Üçtutlar neighbourhood. Residents claimed the area was an old cemetery.

The İSİG Assembly announced that at least 95 child workers lost their lives while working in the 2025-2026 academic year. Of these, 28 were aged 5-14 and 67 were aged 15-17; deaths increased by 32 percent.
