At the court hearing on the Filo Jet ship that sank off Girne on 30 August, it was stated that the ship's structural part, the stem, was repaired at Girne Port, not in the shipyard, and the Ports Department was not informed.

It was stated that the ship's stem was repaired with paint, silicone and adhesive. In the disaster that killed 15 people and left 13 missing, 9 suspects testified for the fifth time at the Girne Accident Court. Previously, 6 people, including minister Erhan Arıklı, had been dismissed in connection with this investigation, and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel dismissed Arıklı on 2 September.
