The communique on payments to students studying abroad on Turkish Education Ministry (MEB) scholarships was published in the Official Gazette. The domestic monthly grant for undergraduates attending language courses was raised to 4,000 lira, and to 8,000 lira for graduate students.
The communique was prepared by the Turkish Education Ministry (MEB) and the Turkish Treasury and Finance Ministry. The cap on mandatory health insurance costs was also raised from 1.5 times to twice one month's overseas grant.
