Fuel price hike expected at midnight; petrol to rise by 12.48 lira

With the fuel price equalization scheme ending at midnight, petrol is expected to rise by 12.48 lira, diesel by 3.60 lira and LPG by 1.48 lira. The litre price of petrol is calculated to exceed 90 lira.

After the system was abolished by a regulation published in the Official Gazette on 3 July, excise tax differences are set to be reflected at the pump. According to sector sources, the excise tax per litre of petrol will rise from 4.43 lira to 14.83 lira.
