The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO) said retail prices in Istanbul rose 2.11% monthly and 33.55% annually in September 2026. The highest monthly increase was seen in education spending.
In İTO's measurement, education spending rose 22.6% and transport 4.6%. While İTO measured the monthly rise in food at 0.1%, the Turkish Economic Policy Research Foundation (TEPAV) calculated 2.2% for the same period.
