The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office sent a letter to the TFF on 10 December 2025 in its football betting investigation, asking for coordination before administrative proceedings. The TFF today referred club executives to the PFDK without informing the prosecution beforehand.
The letter said disciplinary proceedings could affect the course of the judicial investigation, and early disclosure of suspect names could lead to tampering with evidence or flight of suspects. Judicial sources said the TFF gave no information to the chief prosecutor's office before referring club administrators today to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board.
