The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued detention orders for 15 suspects in its probe into social media broadcasts. In the operation across 10 provinces based in Istanbul, 10 suspects were detained and five suspects are being sought.
The Istanbul Police Department examined broadcasts on TikTok, Instagram and X under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The suspects face proceedings on charges of inciting hatred and hostility or degrading the public and obscenity.
