Bridges and highways to be privatized by 2031, French Egis met officials

The 15 July Martyrs and Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridges and highways under the General Directorate of Highways will be privatized for 30 years without ownership transfer. Privatization will conclude by Dec. 31, 2031, and Egis met officials in Ankara.

DEİK calls for Type D visas for Turkish truck drivers

Fatih Şener, head of the DEİK Logistics Business Council, said Turkish truck drivers are turned back at borders due to Type C visas. He noted that resolving the issue requires a Type D visa agreement with the EU and issuing 25,000 visas.

The Tekirdağ Commercial Court of First Instance converted the temporary concordat moratorium into a one-year definitive moratorium for companies, including Kale Seyahat, which has operated since 1975, and one individual. The concordat ratification hearing will be held on Dec. 15, 2026.

Dollar exchange rate reaches all-time high at 48.80 lira

As demand for the dollar increased with the Fed's rate hike, the dollar exchange rate in Türkiye renewed its record by rising to 48.80 lira (TL). The euro stood at 56.05 lira (TL) and the pound at 65.36 lira (TL).

By a presidential decision, four Treasury lands in Bodrum's Gündoğan, Kumbahçe, and Konacık neighborhoods and Istanbul's Rumeli Feneri were included in the privatization program. The procedures are expected to be completed by December 31, 2028.
