Workers' Party of Türkiye (TİP) MP Can Atalay, jailed in the Gezi Park case, started a 24-hour hunger strike on 1 October, when the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) opened its new legislative term.
In a message shared on his party's social media account, Atalay recalled that he had not been released despite violation rulings by the Turkish Constitutional Court. He called on parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş and said, "Enough is enough."
