The Nevşehir Administrative Court ruled that a teacher assigned to a sports talent screening programme be paid for 18 hours of extra lessons per week. Eğitim-İş described the ruling as a precedent.
The court found the teacher had performed a separate duty beyond his main post and that extra lessons missed due to the assignment must count as delivered. The unpaid sums will be paid with statutory interest from the date of application to the administration.
