The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took statements from 10 people, including former referees Mete Kalkavan and Zorbay Kucuk, in its probe into Central Referee Board Chairman Ferhat Gundogu over irregular referee appointments.
Those heard as witnesses and victims also included Umit Ozturk, Mustafa Ilker Coskun, Koray Gencerler, Suleyman Abay, Mert Guzenge, Tugay Kaan Numanoglu, Bahattin Simsek and Burak Pakkan. The total number of witnesses and victims interviewed was announced as 54.
