In a qualified fraud operation in 15 provinces coordinated by the Turkish Interior Ministry, 244 suspects were detained. Of the suspects, 174 were arrested and 54 were placed under judicial control, while procedures for the others continue.
The suspects, found to have defrauded citizens of 523 million lira, allegedly promised high returns through fake ads on social media and bogus websites. Unlicensed weapons, drugs, cash and large amounts of digital material were also seized.
