Greek Cypriot official admits Türkiye blocked power link project

A Greek Cypriot official admitted that the Great Sea Interconnector power line project to connect Greece, the Greek Cypriot administration and Israel was blocked because of Türkiye's steps in its exclusive economic zone.

Speaking to Fox News Digital during the UN General Assembly meetings in New York, the Greek Cypriot official said, "The project was blocked by Türkiye." The official said the aim of the project was to end southern Cyprus's electrical isolation and connect it to the European electricity system.
