Access block on T24 draws wide coverage in foreign press

The Istanbul 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace blocked access to T24's website and social media accounts on grounds of "LGBT propaganda." The decision received wide coverage in the foreign press, including Reuters and Frankfurter Allgemeine.

The decision was taken as part of the "My Family Is Safe" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Reuters reported that 118 of T24's items last year were deemed "LGBT propaganda." Frankfurter Allgemeine commented that "censorship is steadily increasing in Türkiye."
