Fake reviews in online shopping end as of today

The Turkish Trade Ministry's new rules on online consumer reviews took effect today. Under the rules, only people who bought a good or service may review it.

The Turkish Trade Ministry said rules set out in the Regulation on Commercial Advertising and Unfair Commercial Practices have been tightened to prevent fake product reviews. Reviews must remain accessible for at least one year, whether positive or negative.
