Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar met Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev. Bayraktar said they aim to raise nuclear energy capacity to 20,000 megawatts by 2050.
Bayraktar said that in the meeting they assessed the commissioning of the first unit of Akkuyu NPP and the processes at the other three reactors. He said the target would be reached with the plants in Sinop and Thrace and small modular reactors.
